Many Hands Make Light Work

In October, we held a Halloween Masquerade Ball in aid of The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

We hosted 70 guests who enjoyed a delicious three course meal and entertainment from two live bands as well as fun from a table top magician and photo booth. We held a raffle and auction and the whole event raised just over £4000 for the charity.

This event was part of our campaign to raise money for the hospital’s Many Hands programme. Through this, fifty local businesses across the North West pledge to each raise £1000 for the charity and are challenged to engage the community and raise awareness.

This year all funds raised go towards the enhancement of the hospital’s Burns Unit, which this year celebrates its 60th anniversary.

The specialist Burns Unit deals with thermal injuries of all types and level of severity suffered by children from across the north-west.

Funds raised will be used to create therapeutic and interactive artwork and play opportunities to make the Unit as child-friendly as possible and to provide distraction from burns treatments which are often very painful and distressing.
