2014 An Eventful Year

It is been an eventful year for us all at Associated Security with lots of great moments worth mentioning.

At the start of the year, we were involved in tenders for the lock and safe maintenance on behalf of two large banking groups. In May this year we were successful both and awarded three and five year contracts with each. This led us to take on some new remote engineers giving us more solid coverage in the East Midlands and the South West.

In June, we exhibited at IFSEC in London and had a great few days meeting existing and new customers. We had a lot of enquiries from overseas customers about exporting our SMP safes and global shipping which is something we are experienced in doing. If you are a worldwide business and only work with us in the UK, talk to us about our other capabilities. The stand gained a lot of praise and we were voted one of the Top 10 stands to visit out of the whole exhibition by Building and Facilities News Magazine.

More recently, Associated Security held its fourth Annual Security Awareness Event. The first day was designed around the Insurance industry and the second day catered for the Banking, Retail, Gaming and Leisure industries and their respective needs for security solutions. As well as the event, it was unveiling of our new showroom, boardroom, offices and refurbished factory in Telford.

We saw presentations and demonstrations from testing bodies, lock manufacturers, security door manufacturers and CCTV & alarm providers as well as a live ATM attack demo. Everyone’s favourite part seemed to be the factory tour where we showed the full safe making process first hand.

In October, we were pleased to sign a new contract with a large fast food chain to provide safe maintenance and new safes to their nationwide stores as well as a smaller contract with a banking group focussing on planned preventative maintenance.

All in all, it has been a successful year for Associated Security winning new contracts, maintaining an excellent service level to our existing customers and being involved in the Many Hands charity campaign in aid of The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital (which you can read more about later in our newsletter!)

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for their support over the last 12 months and to extend wishes for a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
